Congregation Ansche Chesed's records consist of minutes of the board of directors, 1876-1973, with related reports and committee records; correspondence, 1915-1974; financial records, 1894-1979; membership records, 1893-1984; cemetery records, 1900-1974; extensive subject files (containing a mixture of correspondence, photographs, and printed and other materials documenting a range of synagogue activities), 1880s-1980s; six scrapbooks containing bulletins, invitations, clippings, programs, tickets, souvenir journals, and other printed material documenting club, sisterhood. And other synagogue events, 1928-1969; issues of publications, programs, and other printed materials, 1910s-1980s; and ten reel-to-reel tapes. The tapes record rabbis' sermons, lectures by Dr. Fritz Rothschild and Rabbi Wolfe Kelman, and other events. Of particular note are: an 1899 constitution of the synagogue, records relating to the construction and furnishing of the synagogue's buildings, lists of World War Two servicemen, and programs for services marking the end of World War Two.
